What My Professional Dog Trainer Program Includes

Basic On-Leash Obedience Dog Training

1. Learn how to train dogs to perform the basics of sit, down, stay, come, heel and place.
2. Understand how having these valuable commands can make the difference between an animal that’s out of control and a pet that is a pleasure to live with – as applied to modifying behavior in the home.
3. Learn how to train with and without food treats – all using effective and humane methods.
4. Every dog is different. We teach you how to match the appropriate equipment and handling skills with each dog.

Behavior Modification

1. This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and a systematic approach to solve the most common behavioral issues for people and their dogs.
2. There are many issues clients will require your help with – everything from house soiling to rowdy adolescent behavior and more. You will learn the best approach to help your clients solve their dog’s problems.
3. No matter if you’re doing group classes, private lessons, board and train or even puppy lessons. You WILL get asked behavior questions – this lets you answer them correctly and makes you a much better dog trainer.

Business and Marketing

1. Teaching you marketing techniques that work in today’s world – keep your business alive!
2. Proper handling of incoming inquiries and handling sales.

Course – Pricing – How it Works

The Course:

This course is 6 weeks of training – (4 information packed weeks of academics, 2 weeks hands on dog training in Houston)

Pricing:

The tuition is $6,350 for 6 weeks of personalized, intense dog training. ***The 2 weeks of room and board for your time here in Houston is not included in the tuition. How It Works:

• 2 people in a class.
• Class is divided into sections:
• Academics (reading and testing) (4 weeks – no travel involved)
• What this looks like: 3 live video calls each week where we go over everything you are learning for that week. You get to ask me anything you want to ask about the subject we are learning and more. It’s “Pick My Brain” time.

1. The academics will be done via assigned reading, face to face video coaching and testing over specific material Jim will assign you. All of this information is based on 30 years of training as a nationally acclaimed dog training expert.
2. We do Face to Face, ongoing video coaching 3 times a week making sure you understand your studies as we go along and prep for the tests.
3. Tests are written and are based on taking the knowledge you learned and applying that to real life scenarios.
4. There are no multiple-choice questions. My method of testing helps you translate your newfound knowledge into practical purposes. This is how you to truly learn the science of dog training and the practical application of this knowledge to dog owners. Passing these tests qualifies you for graduation.
5. No travel expense for you for this part of the course, yet you still have the ability to interact face to face with me and pick my brain.

The Hands on Dog Training Program, Houston, TX (2 weeks)

What this looks like: 2 weeks with me equaling 80+ hours of my time with you where I teach you hands on training with a shelter dog. But the best part is I take you on private dog training lessons with me where you see and hear how to work with dog owners. You cannot get that type of experience and education any other way than participating in it. On top of that, as we drive from lesson to lesson, we go over what went on in the lesson so you keep learning and learning and learning.

1. You will work with shelter dogs during these 2 weeks for hands on experience AND you will learn practical behavior modification as you travel with me 5 days a week to actual client lessons.
2. You will be tested on how well you trained your assigned dogs and your abilities to evaluate and consult with clients – all under my supervision.
3. When you are done with this life changing opportunity you will know exactly how to build your own dog training business and be ready to serve dog owners.
4. Upon completion you will receive as a bonus: contract forms for private lessons, board and train, group classes. Behavior Training Program client handout. Blueprint for speaking with prospective clients.
