Jim has vast insight into animal behavior. He has a calm gentle demeanor with dogs which is what we were looking for in a trainer. He trained me as much as he trained our stubborn dog ! I am now able to better understand how to get our dog to listen to me without having to shout or raise my voice. I highly recommend Jim and Petiquette if you’re looking for professional, quality, cruelty-free dog training or behaviour modification. Thank you Jim!read more

Jim is wonderful to work with - he gave us the tools to get our puppy house trained, we learned how to get him to do different commands and how to best restrain him inside the house. Jim has so much patience not just with me but as well as with my children. It was so important for me to have Jim show the kids how to handle the puppy and to explain what is right and what should not be done. You can tell he loves dogs and he has a passion for getting them trained. Our In-home sessions never felt rushed. He took the time to listen to our concerns and to correct us right away. Its been wonderful to see how our puppy has progressed and learned. Thank you Jim - we truly appreciate all that you did for us!read more

Jim was instrumental in helping us with our new puppy - Snacks. My husband and I had dogs as children but Snacks was our 1st dog as adults - Jim emphasized that training is equally about teaching the pup as it is about teaching the parents. Jim helped all 3 of us learn the ropes of puppy training & we are so glad that we made the investment. Snacks is beautifully behaved and we feel that we have been given a lifetime of advice and tips on how to teach him everything he needs to know. Jim was also knowledgeable about puppy gear, food & nutrition, which we found very helpful. From the very first phone call, Jim and Lelia were both lovely to work with - always attentive, prompt & full of advice. We can't recommend them enough!read more

I contacted Jim to help with my dog Feather after having her for a few months and she had severe anxiety issues and she had never been trained or socialized before. In just a few lessons Jim taught me how to work with Feather and tools to help her overcome anxiety and basic commands. She was not leaving the apartment when we started and she is now up to 30-45 minutes on walks and minimal resistance. I am so pleased with the progress we have made, thank you Jim!read more
